ORGANIZATION: AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION INC

6:15 Volunteers arrive to set-up (meet at Volunteer Tent)

6:30 Volunteer Orientation

Set up tables/chairs at each tent

6:45 Unload bins at each tent, place 2 balloons on the front legs of each tent.

Balloon heart arches/columns are placed. DJ arrives.

7:00 Place Ice in coolers. Deliver water trucks and contents along route. Place yard signs throughout park and along Survivor route.

7:30 Staff and Volunteers In positions for start of program. Sound check.

8:00 Opening Ceremonies / Company Photos begin

8:15 Warm-up, National Anthem

8:25 Make way to the Start Line for Survivor Walk

8:30 Survivor Walk starts

8:50 Line up Runners/Walkers for 5K

8:55 Staff Person to take route volunteers to each mile marker and water stations along route.

9:00 5K Starts/ Volunteers in place at finish line to hand out water.

10:00 Celebration


10:30 Heart Walk Event Concludes. Disassemble all conduit, elbows, and banners. Place next to volunteer tent.

11:00 Pack items from each tent back in the bin. Place bin next to volunteer tent.

11:15 Deflate all balloons at tents. Place ribbon, balloons and any trash you find in a trash bag and place bag next to Railroad Park trash cans within the park.
