ORGANIZATION: American Red Cross

Do you enjoy driving? Would you like to help save lives?

We currently have a need for Transportation Specialists in Mecklenburg County. Transportation Specialist volunteers transport lifesaving blood from our Blood Donation Center in Charlotte to area hospitals using American Red Cross vehicles. They pick up and return boxes as needed and complete all necessary paperwork. This volunteer opportunity is a critical way to serve your community and help patients in need.

Morning and evening routes are available and may be 3 or 6 hours. Volunteers have the flexibility to sign up for shifts that work with their schedule and most volunteer at least twice a month. Training provided.

If this seems like something you may be interested in, we welcome you to join us at a Transportation Specialist Volunteer Lunch and Learn

Join us to meet current volunteers and learn about the American Red Cross Transportation Volunteer program!

To RSVP contact Rose Brown at rose.brown@redcross.org or 704-632-5581. New date will be announced soon.

Thank you for all that you!
