Create dynamic content to tell the stories about Milwaukee Habitat’s work and help raise awareness of the need for safe, affordable housing in our community. Habitat for Humanity is recognized as the number one non-profit brand in the United States. When you intern with our Marketing department, you will gain exceptional experience and knowledge that will enhance your portfolio and resume.
- Produce, film and edit compelling stories about Habitat’s families and our volunteers.
- Assist with social media and email promotions, and special projects.
- Improve skills in a professional context.
- Build your portfolio with emotional content.
- Initiate professional relationships and professional connections.
- Experience with video editing software such as Premier or Final Cut, preferred.
- Must have own photography and editing equipment.
Marketing Intern Requirements:
- Possess valid driver’s license and ability to travel between build sites and ReStores.
- Flexible hours each week - be available some Saturdays between 9:00am-2:00pm.
- Communicate in a strong and professional manner
- Be comfortable initiating professional and profitable connections
- Possess ability to work alongside people of diverse backgrounds
- Ability and willingness to complete wide variety of tasks
- Be capable of learning quickly on the go
- Be comfortable working in a dynamic work environment
- Have knowledge of and enthusiasm for the philosophy of Habitat for Humanity
- Be at least 18 years old
- Must pass a background check

Description
Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity seeks to eliminate poverty housing by working alongside future homeowners and volunteers to build and rehab simple, decent and affordable houses. Milwaukee Habitat also two donation-driven retail stores called the ReStores.
All proceeds from ReStore sales benefit Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity's mission of building simple, decent and affordable homes in partnership with families in need. The ReStore is stocked exclusively with donated items such as new and used furniture, appliances, kitchen cabinets, building materials and other home goods.
