We have a rich, vibrant community full of the most interesting people you may ever meet... and we are looking for a Communications volunteer (or 2)!
Are you:
- Interested in print and digital content creation, like writing blog posts and social media content?
- A student, professional, or hobbyist who has a few hours to share each month creating (that is, writing and/or designing) a variety of pieces? Our schedule is very flexible.
- Patient and professional? Sometimes we all need to be told something twice, and our residents are no different.
If so, we'd love to hear from you!
POSITION TITLE: Communications Volunteer
AREAS OF FOCUS: Communications, Public Relations, Graphic Design, Social Media
REPORTS TO: Director of Strategic Communications
Qualifications:
- Solid writing skills
- Basic graphic design knowledge (preferred)
- Strong interpersonal, relationship-building, and collaboration skills
- Professional disposition
- Generalized curiosity
This is a volunteer position with no financial compensation.

Description
As Hendersonville’s only Type-A LifeCare Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), also known as a Life Plan Community, Carolina Village is proud to be a non-profit organization with a passion for delivering superior care for seniors within a beautiful, energetic community.
Since opening in 1974, we have been considered a CCRC, meaning that we offer the full continuum of care from independent living to assisted living and skilled nursing right on campus and subsidized by our community. Our Board of Directors is comprised of all volunteers with a goal to reach our area’s senior community, to provide them with the peace of mind that we are here for them throughout their life.
