Nutritious meals for those who are homebound.
Meals On Wheels prepares and delivers nutritious home cooked meals for clients who are homebound and cannot get or prepare the food for themselves. Sometimes the person who delivers the food is the only person the client comes in contact with during the week.
Volunteers will help prepare, package and deliver meals. Substitutes are always needed.
Elmira and Horseheads areas.

Make a Difference in Your Community!
CVAC is a program of Cornell Cooperative Extension of Chemung County.
CVAC provides education and opportunities for people of all ages to make a difference in their community through volunteer service. CVAC volunteers contribute anywhere from a few to over forty hours a week, serving through schools, hospitals, food pantries, and other nonprofit and public organizations to help meet critical community needs. Our staff members work with agencies and organizations to offer individuals maximum flexibility and choice.
With CVAC you can either enroll as a Cornell Cooperative Extension volunteer to work directly with our programs, or sign you up as an affiliated volunteer and work with any number of partner agencies. In both cases, we match your interests to those of agencies needing your skills and talents.
