ORGANIZATION: Open Gate Homeless Ministries

Image_202008210926

We work with homeless youths between the ages of 18-30. We provide clothing, a home cooked meal, resources to the community and their needs at the time. We have been continually providing To-Go-Meals, hygiene kits, underwear & socks, cold bottle of water since COVID19 began here in Houston.

We are looking for volunteers to help out in the kitchen preparing the meal, cleaning dishes, greeting our youths, helping our youths in the clothing room, visiting with them at the table, No Experience is needed to volunteer with our wonderful team and our youths.

Our mission is to provide a safe, affirming environment for youth and young adults experiencing homelessness regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, disability, and/or other identities. We firmly believe in meeting our participants where they are, without judgment or expectation, and letting them guide us toward their individual needs.
