Assists school staff with overseeing classroom activities, recess, or "specials". Many options are available for discussion, including: playground monitor, book reader, and assistant art or gym teacher. We can work with your schedule and have flexible options within a typical school day, but we do ask that our volunteers be able to provide a minimum of two consecutive hours of time at the school per week.
Ideal volunteers are experienced in childcare, especially with children with special needs. CPR/First Aid preferred, and must be willing to submit to a background check, provide proof of immunizations, and fulfill other requirements as needed.
- Please reach out to us today and we are happy to answer questions, provide additional information, and tell you about all that CCGC School has to offer our community!
*PLEASE NOTE: In accordance with statewide recommendations to prevent the spread of COVID-19, our buildings are currently closed and many groups and programs are operating via tele-communications or they are on hiatus. However, we encourage all interested prospective volunteers to reach out! As noted elsewhere, our connection with the Department of Children and Families makes it necessary for us to require a background check for all volunteers, which is a process that takes time. We feel that this period of limited face-to-face contact still presents a perfect opportunity for us to chat with you remotely and even start the background check process so that when our buildings re-open, we can get you started right away! Please get in touch with us via this page, or send an email directly to mollygetchell@ccgcinc.org with any questions.*
