Volunteer with Meals on Wheels and help home bound older adults in Henderson County maintain their independence.
We have weekly routes open in various locations throughout Henderson County. Sometimes our regular drivers are out of town for family reasons, vacation or even sickness. Would you like to help assist when our drivers need a sub?!
For as little as 1 lunchtime a week, you can bring powerful impact the the needs of seniors in our community. Enjoy the scenic views and incredible people of Henderson County as you become a MOW sub driver! We are currently serving close to 300+ people per day Monday-Friday, with a growing waiting list the needs attention. Help us eliminate this waiting list and meet the growing needs for senior services here in our community!

Description
For over 50 years the Council on Aging for Henderson County has been engaging with older adults in this community to ensure independence and support as we age. What started as a grass roots efforts from a group of concerned citizens has blossomed into a full steam operating agency offering programs such as Liquid Nutrition, Lunch @ the Sammy Center, Resource Coordination, Caregiver & Respite Care Coordination, Meals on Wheels & two local thrift stores. Our Meals on Wheels program currently serves +- 400 homebound seniors, with an ever growing need and waiting list to tackle.
