Volunteers helping at Mobile Food Pantry-COVID-19

United Way of Nevada County has started a program to help high school students suffering from food insecurity due to homelessness or other circumstances. Volunteers are needed to help distribute bags of food from 11:15 am to 1:00 pm every Wednesday.

There are two locations in Grass Valley:
Nevada Union High School: 11761 Ridge Rd. in Grass Valley.
Bear River High School: 11130 Magnolia Rd. in Grass Valley.

Also, every Tuesday from 2-5 we need volunteers to help package food for the distribution. Location: 422 Henderson St. in Grass Valley (in the Beam Easy Living building, near Interfaith Food Ministry).

Due to COVID-19, the pantry was modified to a drive-thru distribution and will continue throughout the school year.

We will update any modifications for the program for the upcoming school year, if necessary.
