AARP Indiana seeks volunteers with a spark and heart for teaching!
The Community Educator position is a key volunteer role that goes into communities and teaches critical information regarding topics important to people that are 50+. From how to stay comfortable in your home as you age to fraud prevention, Community Educators can cover a variety of information that makes a difference in people’s lives.
Additionally, the Community Educator position seeks out venues and opportunities to present, making the role incredibly flexible with volunteers’ schedules. Prospective volunteers are eligible for this position after a brief training.Presentation topics include, but are not limited to:
-Social Security
-Aging in Place
-Fraud
-Cyber Security
-Brain Health
If you want to make a difference and help your peers live their best lives by presenting crucial information that you are passionate about, volunteering as an AARP Indiana Community Educator is for you. - Volunteering with AARP Indiana is flexible and based on individual volunteers' availability. Team Fort Wayne meets once per month.
