MAKING STRIDES SURVIVOR AND CAREGIVER EXPERIENCE LEAD

Breast cancer survivors are the celebrities of Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. The Survivor and Caregiver Lead is responsible for recruiting, recognizing, and engaging survivors and caregivers from area communities for the event. This person is responsible for planning and implementing all aspects of the Survivor (and Caregiver) Tent day of the event, Survivor activities and/or gifts at the Kickoff, and will work with the staff partner to support survivor team recruitment and engagement. Caregivers are also a critical piece, and most are either currently caring for their loved one, have cared for them in the past, or are going through a loss of their loved one and need support from those around them- specifically other caregivers who understand what they are going through. This volunteer lead will work with the ACS staff partner to identify key opportunities, and additional responsibilities may include organizing the survivor and caregiver area during the event.
