Summer Youth Ambassador to work with Summer Food Service Program.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
General:
During the internship, the Youth Ambassador will provide continuous monitoring of our summer meals sites (20%), manage site data collection (20%), assist with program outreach (20%), plan and implement a variety of social media postings (30%), and complete administrative requirements/tasks (10%).
Specific duties:
- Implementation of Summer Meals site monitoring and data management.
- Supporting summer meals sponsor outreach to improve services and expand participation.
- Increasing social media presence via blog, website, and/or social media postings.
- Attend Staff and partner meetings alone and/or with Senior Nutrition Programs Manager.
- Attend No Kid Hungry Google Hangout sessions and complete weekly reports and projects as required by No Kid Hungry Staff members.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Enthusiastic undergraduate college students are encouraged to apply.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A great attitude and willingness to work on all kinds of projects
- Interest in hunger issues
- Commitment to working with diverse communities
- Reliability, responsibility, and a good work ethic
- Good customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently
- Familiarity with social media
- Use of personal laptop and mobile phone preferred
- Reliable access to a vehicle
Youth Ambassadors will receive a stipend of no more than $5400 for over the course of the summer, for a completion of 360 hours over 10 weeks. The program starts on May 26, 2020 and ends on August 7, 2020.
Youth Ambassadors will report to a national No Kid Hungry staff member, and an Inter-Faith Food Shuttle staff member. Ambassadors will participate in weekly conference calls, complete a weekly report, and attend online training sessions throughout their term.
