The Veteran-to-Veteran Program aims to pair recruited Veteran Volunteers with Veteran Hospice Patients. Veterans are a part of a distinct culture with their own language, codes of conduct, honor, respect for service, duty, and commitment. When Veterans interact, their common language and experiences can form a strong relational bond.
Examples of direct patient support may include:
Reading or sitting with a patient
Reminiscing/telling life stories
Writing letters/journaling
Taking part in Veteran recognition ceremonies

Under the direct supervision of your physician, our highly skilled hospice professionals deliver quality, compassionate care. We also include family in the process, offering valuable information, guidance and - most of all - support.
