Pruitt Health Hospice volunteers are the heart and essence of hospice. Volunteers are a gift to the agency, the patient and the family. They work hand-in-hand with the members of the hospice team to provide a high quality end-of-life experience for our patients and families. Volunteers provide unique services such as visiting with patients and families, reading, playing music, and serving as a companion. Due to the pandemic of COVID-19 our company is taking all of the necessary precautions to protect all of staff, volunteers, and patients. At this time, Volunteers visitations at any facility and homes are being withheld until the CDC has lifted COVID-19 restrictions. However, volunteers are still need in helping make cards, gift bags, or anything that will help uplift our patients during these difficult times. We encourage all of our staff and volunteers to practice social distancing, wear masks, use hand sanitizer, and wash their hands for their protection, as well as protecting others.
