Division of Rehabilitation Services (DORS) Seeks Volunteer Speakers

DORS is searching for speakers for the Work Readiness program at the Division of Rehabilitation services (DORS) Workforce & Technology Center (WTC) in Baltimore.

The Work Readiness program helps individuals with disabilities prepare for competitive employment through lectures, guest speakers, worksite tours and job shadowing. We are in search of speakers to contribute in a variety of topics that engage participants in learning that promotes independence and employment success. Your experiences are just what students need to give them a broad perspective, support their decisions and inspire them to pursue their goals.

Volunteers are asked to deliver a 45 to 90 minute interactive conversation to a group with mixed work history, ages and disabilities. The WTC is located at 2301 Argonne Drive, Baltimore, MD 21218. Past speakers discussed career options, life skills, soft skills, financial management, organizational skills, self awareness, teamwork, communication and many others. We welcome your ideas.

The Workforce & Technology Center (WTC) is located at 2301 Argonne Drive, Baltimore, MD 21218. Starting in April, available time slots are on Thursdays at 1:00 pm or Fridays at 9:00 am.
