ORGANIZATION: Arthritis Foundation - North & South Carolina

The Carolina’s Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation is looking for Community Outreach volunteers to represent the foundation at various events throughout the year. Event day responsibilities range from sitting on the committee to day of event responsibilities.

Responsibilities for this position include:

  • Run an outreach booth at various locations/events; set up and take down the booth
  • Talk to the public about the mission of the Arthritis Foundation
  • Pick-up and return outreach materials to the Arthritis Foundation office
  • Identify new volunteers and collect contact information
  • Identify new outreach opportunities and communicate them with the lead volunteer

The ideal candidate should have the following skills:

  • Flexibility
  • Excellent organizational skills, detailed record keeping
  • Pleasant and outgoing personality
  • Effective communication skills

Requirements:

  • Volunteers must attend a general orientation and will receive training specific to the role.
