Special Olympics Montana is looking for volunteers to help put on their Area Spring Games in Missoula Area!
Area Spring Games are April 15-April 17th.
Swimming Awards Coordinator will help organize, direct and present the Awards that the athletes win at Swimming. This Awards Coordinator will have a sample script to follow, guidelines, and set-up visuals so once you are trained, it is easy to implement.
The Awards Coordinator has the following responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate Awards committee meetings
- Create Awards plan for the games - by sport
- Work with Competition Co-Directors to purchase awards and have them ready for distribution
- Collaborate with Awards committee (and LETR representatives) to plan and execute award distribution
- Assist with recruiting "day of" volunteers to manage awards ceremonies
- Be available during the games to assist awards volunteers
- Attend Area Games planning committee meetings as needed
- Plan and facilitate awards volunteer training prior to the games (optional)
Time Commitment: This role will require the volunteer to attend planning meetings as needed, to form a "team" of awards volunteers and to be available the day(s) of competition to oversee the awards distribution at the various venues.
