Roles and Responsibilities:
Playgroup Chaperone-Arrive reliably for playgroup sessions every Monday from 1pm-2:30pm unless otherwise planned. These volunteers will monitor children to ensure they remain safe as they go about coloring, drawing, playing, etc. This role requires someone who enjoys playing with and talking with children, can offer comfort when needed, and can resolve minor spats and squabbles. Volunteers will NOT be asked to do any diaper changes or toileting.
Qualifications:
Volunteers must enjoy being around children of all ages and be reasonably reliable. Volunteers should also be able to bend and lift small children. Having a background in early childhood education or teaching are preferred, but not required. Volunteers should also be able to pass a background check and willing to undergo some training pertaining to child safety and agency policy.
Requirements:
- Must be 21 or older
- Minimum 3 shifts per month
