Hello Miami, GWN is currently looking for volunteers to help with the upcoming Miami Dragon Boat Festival on November 20th at the Miami Marine Stadium! Our annual event is partnered with Save Our Sisters Miami with a portion of proceeds being contributed to SOS introducing the sport to breast cancer survivors.
GWN is searching for people hoping to volunteer in a fun and exciting environment in one of multiple volunteer roles suitable for people of all ages. Plus, all volunteers will receive lunch, refreshments, and a t-shirt for their participation! Volunteer roles:
Boat Marshalls will be on the dock assisting paddlers with getting in and out of the boats. This position should be filled by people who are comfortable around water.
Results Runners will be posting the results from the Timing Officials at the Registration Headquarters. This position requires neat handwriting.
Team Marshalls will assist the Marshalling Manager in ensuring that all teams are ready to load into boats at the correct time to maintain smooth running of the races.
Crowd Control will ensure one-way flow traffic from the Marshalling Area after boats are unloaded.
