About Restoration House Of Houston

Location:

9888 Bissonnet St, Suite 401-F, HOUSTON, TX 77036, US

Mission Statement

"Restoration House of Houston is dedicated to giving repetitively homeless families a "second chance," by restoring their physical, spiritual and emotional wellbeing, while enabling them to become productive members of the community through vocational and educational training programs."

Description

Cameron Hunter is the Founder/President & CEO of Restoration House of Houston. (RHH) Mr. Hunter formerly served as the Director of Faith Mission Family Shelter, in Columbus, OH.
It was this same shelter where he and his family had been homeless due to an expensive relocation in the early 90's. During his time as Director, he began to see the need for RHH. Families recycled through the shelter because their issues which caused the homelessness had not been resolved, thus causing the same results - homeless again. Through the help of a dedicated Board of Trustees, RHH has developed an extensive program that targets some of the most difficult clients of the homeless - families that are repetitively homeless.
The RHH program is designed to address any and every need of each family member, through onsite programs as well as collaborations. It is the belief of this organization that a family doesn't have to live in the circle of recidivism but can be free to live a happy and fulfilling life while also being an asset to their community.
