This is an interim position that may become long term.

Under the general direction of the Executive Director, the Program Manager provides for the day to day operations of the daytime program.

Experience: Minimum 2 years of nonprofit program involvement, with experience in serving

the sub-populations typical of homeless adults.

Required Skills:

Ability to implement and utilize limit setting techniques and appropriate boundaries

Strong interpersonal and management skills

Extensive knowledge of community resources

Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Applications

Ability to work independently and relate to all levels of the organization

Excellent communication skills, conflict resolution skills, supervision skills

Fiscal management skills inclusive of budgetary control

Volunteer development and performance management skills

Strong leadership and problem solving skills

Written and verbal skills

Supervisory and management experience

Responsibilities:

Supervision:

Supervision of daytime volunteers and guests

Review of annual goals and objectives

Professional development of volunteers who to increase skill sets

Administration:

Prepare reports as requested by the Executive Director

Monthly reporting to the Board of Directors

Coordinate daytime meals / snacks, ensuring food safety

Oversee the day center non-monetary donations

Provide counseling and mediation, as needed

Implement and enforce all program safety procedures

Train and supervise daytime volunteers and interns

Regularly required to sit, walk, stand, bend, and stoop to access information and materials in file cabinets shelves and closets

Normal range of hearing and vision is required in this position with or without correction

Must be able to work with background distractions

Frequently requires use of equipment such as telephone, copiers, computers and fax

machine

Ability to quickly walk up stairs

  • 06:00 AM to 02:00 AM
    There is some flexibility in the shift time.

The mission of ChristNet is to provide temporary overnight emergency housing assistance and other services to homeless men, women, and children. We do this by providing a safe secure sleeping space indoors; offering three meals per day; and by maintaining a case manager who identifies and coordinates mainstream resources to help those in need restabilize their lives. ChristNet promotes cooperation among churches and non-profit organizations as we strive to assist our brothers and sisters in God’s family.

Description

At ChristNet Services we depend on our volunteers. Help is needed nightly at the intake center with registering and welcoming our guests, and we also are in need of volunteers for the ChristNet Services Daytime Program. Our volunteer coordinator can help you identify volunteer dates that fit your schedule as well as duties that you will be pleased and comfortable to undertake.
