The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention Virginia Chapter is seeking volunteers to attend tabling and/or outreach events to share information and prevention resources in our community.
Upon signing up, you will receive additional information about AFSP Virginia and existing opportunities. Volunteer applicants should be very comfortable engaging with the public, casual but professional in appearance, and able to stand or sit for extended periods of time.
No prior experience is necessary, and a brief training will be provided. Guidelines for tabling events will also be provided to help you prepare. New volunteers will have an opportunity to work with an experienced volunteer to become comfortable before tabling on their own.
AFSP does not provide crisis services. If you or a loved one is in need of crisis services, please contact the National Suicide and Crisis Lifeline by dialing 988 or visit 988.lifeline.org.
