Those Who Can, Do - Those Who Can Do More, Volunteer

Hey Vets! Extend your calling; be-friend another Veteran! We are currently looking for compassionate United States Veterans to join our mission in bringing hope into the final chapter of the lives of Veterans and their loved ones! We believe that Veteran to Veteran community is crucial to the healing and final mission of Veterans. We would love for you to consider serving a fellow Veteran for their final roll call.

Our volunteers are invaluable members of our hospice team and share their talents and experiences in a number of ways including but not limited to:

patient care: companionship, emotional support, shared Veteran experience, active listener

administrative: make copies, packets, phones, file

bereavement: write condolence cards and make follow up phone calls

special projects: baking, sewing, fundraising, community events

We would love to find creative ways to utilize your special gifts, passions and skills to serve our patients and their families.

Volunteers receive training free of charge as well as on-going education and support.

Your schedule is up to you! Most volunteers serve between 1 to 4 hours per week!

Our administrative volunteers may work from home or in our Garland office. If you'd like to be a patient care volunteer we will match you with a patient who lives in or around your community
