The one thing is what you do for your life each day. A game plan. Deciding what is the most important
thing for the day and then focusing your attention on that one thing.

When you start your day do you have a certain routine? Coffee, the news, shower, get dressed, breakfast, or something like that! What if you decided to add one thing to your routine. Think about this: there are 173.33average monthly hours in a month.

You may have one thing you do each day like start your day with coffee! Or showering. Simple but necessary activities to help you get started.

What if you took one hour a week, four hours total in a month and volunteered?

That hour would make a difference in our office here at Bridge Hospice. We have medical binders that we make up for our case managers/nurses. WE send wonderful letters and brochures to the bereaved family and friend members. There is paperwork, scanning and copying papers for this.

If you were interested in working directly with family and patients-
It would make a difference in our patients and their family's life to read to a patient
or
An hour sitting with a patient while a caregiver or family member runs to the grocery store, bank or post office

An hour visiting with the spouse of a patient and hearing their story....

If you gave one hour of your time we can use that hour intentionally to service people that are on hospice. Assisting them in a simple way but making the difference for them.

There are simple ways to make an impact....for just one hour.
We ask each volunteer to consider their commitment. We would like you to volunteer 3-6 months with 4-6 hours minimum service each month. We train. We orient. We give the TB test free to you onsite.

This one thing makes a big difference.

Please contact me if you think you would like to start volunteering.
