Battery Dance presents the 39th Annual Dance Festival with free outdoor performances August 15 - 20, at Robert F. Wagner, Jr. Park and an indoor closing event at Pace University on August 21 with General Admission tickets priced at $10.00.
Against the backdrop of New York Harbor, an outstanding roster of international dancers and choreographers will present original works in diverse styles of dance.
Volunteers needed at the Park to help with daily production set-up, hosting entrance tables, greeting audience members, handing out playbills, and break down after performance. Additional volunteers will help with activities related to our closing event on August 21 and open public dance workshops throughout the week at the Battery Dance Studios in Tribeca.

Description
Battery Dance Company has been recognized locally and worldwide as downtown's most prominent dance company and presenter of dance. As the founders and sponsors of the annual Downtown Dance Festival, now in its 27th season, Battery Dance Company promotes the performing arts among the city's youth through Dance Education Residencies at Washington Irving High School in Manhattan, Frank Sinatra School of the Arts in Queens, and P.S. 257 in Brooklyn, as well as an education partnership with Millennium High School. Battery Dance Company also produces a full calendar of performances, residencies and workshops in the United States, South Asia, Germany and the Far East.
