Volunteer Tree Planting Events in Frederick, MD
Join us at one or all of the seven volunteer events happening this Spring. We plant trees to transform farmland into healthy riparian forests to protect the rivers and streams that we rely on for drinking water. Volunteer events are fun and educational for all ages so bring your family and friends and together we will conserve the precious natural resources we have in our own backyard and in the Chesapeake Bay.
"We all live downstream"
Come learn something new, plant trees or care for newly planted trees, and feel good about saving the planet.

About Stream Link Education

Mission Statement
Connecting community to conservation.
Description
Stream Link Education organizes and leads tree plantings with local community members, organizations and businesses. With the help of volunteers, we plant native trees and shrubs in the area called the riparian zone, which is the land that extends from the banks of a stream. Planting trees next to streams creates a Forest Buffer that not only removes carbon out of the air like other forests, but it soaks up stormwater, chemicals, excess nutrients, sediments, and more before they enter into our streams, rivers, and ultimately end up in the Chesapeake Bay.
