Cultural Tourism DC invites you to volunteer for an afternoon of neighborhood fun at Rhode Island Avenue Main Street PorchFest, Saturday, April 11.
There are two volunteer shifts -- 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm and 3:30 pm to 6:00 pm. You may volunteer for one shift or both shifts. To sign up for both shifts, please complete a second registration form.
PorchFest transforms local porches and stoops into stages for an afternoon of music, dance, and poetry that brings together neighbors, business owners, and artists in a casual and fun display of creative expression! Musicians play their instruments, singers their songs, visitors have a playful afternoon dancing and singing to the music -- and volunteers play a really, really important role throughout the event by helping everyone have a good time.
The event features different porches as performance spaces. You, as a Porch Volunteer, will greet guests at a performance location, acknowledge program sponsors, introduce the performers, and count the number of people enjoying the music.
To help you understand better your role during PorchFest, we will host an orientation. We will send more information after we receive your registration.
Thanks again for supporting Rhode Island Avenue Main Street PorchFest, and Cultural Tourism DC!
