We have used an MS Access database for 15-20 years to organize our subscribers, donors, and contest entrants, many of whom fall into more than one of those categories. Because most users throughout the years have had only minimal experience with the software (and none at the true developer level), and we never have enough time, our usage is very clunky.
We would like to either have someone help us streamline our usage of Access by cleaning up our current database and building reports and/or tables that match our current usage needs; OR migrate the database to something more user friendly and easier to be maintained by someone who is tech adept and learns quickly but is not a database guru and doesn't have time to Google for answers and try to teach herself every time something new needs to be done. And, of course, we have virtually no budget for that, so we would need a free or very cheap solution.
Can you help us?

Mission Statement
River Styx embodies the best of non-profit independent literature. As an independent magazine, we earn just enough to keep publishing not trendy or politically connected work but what we love most--thoughtful yet accessible, unpredictable yet moving literature and art. We will always adhere to the lean and mean production ethic and keep the youthful energy that’s made us, as Small Press Review says, "a beacon of light on which deserving voices dance."
Description
Since 1975, River Styx has published an international, award-winning journal of poetry, fiction, essays, interviews, and art. The magazine has consistently been one of the first to publish some of the most important writers of our time, from U.S. Poet Laureates (Howard Nemerov, Mona Van Duyn, Rita Dove, Robert Hass, and Ted Kooser), to Pulitzer Prize-Winners (Yusef Komunyakaa, Stephen Dunn, and Ted Kooser), to National Book Award Winners (Marilyn Hacker, Howard Nemerov, Lisel Mueller, Lucille Clifton, and Robert Hass), to Nobel Laureates (Derek Walcott and Czeslaw Milosz). The magazine publishes semiannually, hosts a monthly reading series at the Contemporary Art Museum in St. Louis, and sponsors annual contests for poetry and microfiction.
