Join Dance/NYC for a two-day gathering of the dance community in the New York metropolitan area. The 2020 Symposium will be hosted campus-style and make use of Hunter College’s expanding dance facilities and performance spaces for panel discussions, case studies, interactive workshops, a networking lunch, and more. For more information, visit Dance.NYC.
The Symposium offers two types of volunteer opportunities, including Day-Of volunteers and Week-Of volunteers. In exchange for your commitment, all volunteers will receive complimentary access to the event, which includes: panel discussions, advising sessions with arts and legal consultants, training workshops, service fair, networking lunch, a volunteer t-shirt, and more!
Day-Of Volunteers attend the Symposium on Friday, March 20 and/or Saturday, March 21, volunteering for a minimum of 4 hours. Volunteers are typically scheduled in workstations, including production areas such as set up, registration, guest relations, photography, and more.
Week-Of Volunteers come in for a total of 9 hours over two separate days. The first shift must take place on the day of the event, on Friday, March 20. The second shift can take place the week before the event or after the event and is flexible upon availability. Tasks include support for administration, production, media editing, post-production, and more.
