ORGANIZATION: American Red Cross of Northern California Coastal Region

Before a disaster strikes, the Red Cross needs to have partnerships built for various response functions (i.e. providing meals or providing shelter to disaster clients). The Red Cross is seeking volunteers to establish and build partnerships with organizations including businesses, government agencies, and other nonprofits.

Projects may include:

  • Conducting meetings with community partners to build relationships
  • Planning and participating in disaster exercises with partners
  • Assisting with community response planning


Ideal team members will:

  • Have availability during business hours (time commitment is flexible)
  • Be willing to travel to various locations in Contra Costa County
  • Be comfortable meeting and speaking with new community partners
  • Be comfortable with online trainings
