Seeking mature, reliable enthusiastic individuals that have some experience and would enjoy interacting with elderly care residents. This opportunity would generally be two hours, weekly. Some examples of a way a volunteer might interact with the residents would be; reading or being read to, writing letters/poems, playing board games, arts, crafts and cultural activities, conversations, fill hummingbird feeders, play a musical instrument, work on puzzles of all sorts, listen to music, sing old songs, and engage in seasonal activities etc. We are also excited to learn about a special talent that you might bring to share with the residents as a volunteer.

Description
We are a residential board and care facility for elders in Chatsworth. It is our intention to ensure that our residents continue to have opportunities to interact with people in their community through activities like music, art and culture, yoga, therapeutic animals, brain games, movement and more. Research tells us that activities can boost mood and improve quality of life.
