The annual Arts in Nature Festival is right around the corner! Produced by Delridge Neighborhoods Development Association (DNDA), this unique FREE Festival on June 20 th-21 st will feature live musical performances, interactive art installations, creative nature-based activities and more, set in the lush 68-acre landscape of Camp Long, Seattle’s only campground. Since this event is free, we depend on our dedicated volunteers to pull it off.
Come volunteer for a few hours and stay after to enjoy visual art installations in 8 rustic cabins and performances throughout the park on Saturday and Sunday. In addition to interactive art activities and games for all ages, there will be local food trucks on site, and adults can wet their whistle at the festival beer garden. Become immersed in your local environment and experience the beauty that exists at the intersection of art, nature and neighborhood.
Volunteer shifts last anywhere from 2 hours to 5 hours. Sign up for a shift at https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ff_71bktCWu57BHFGxL6Mfe_si521FlmOKJPqUOg_0c/edit#gid=0

Mission Statement
Integrating Art, Nature, and Neighborhood to build and sustain a dynamic Delridge
Description
Nature Consortium inspires people in Puget Sound to become creative leaders through art and environmental action. We believe in experiential learning. Whether it's discovering a new art form or planting a tree for the first time, we invite you to roll up your sleeves and dig in.
Since 2003, we have been working to restore Seattle's biggest forest, the West Duwamish Greenbelt. Our Urban Forest Restoration Project is a long-term stewardship, education & advocacy project that offers hands-on experience in environmental action. Through this project, we host on-going volunteer work parties to plant native trees and understory and to clear invasive vegetation. Our Saturday work parties also feature live musicians to infuse the arts with our environmental work.
Our after-school and summer art classes offer a free and accessible way for youth to express their creativity. These classes serve youth in King County, primarily in low-income communities like Yesler Terrace and Rainier Vista. Offerings include photography, music, dance, organic gardening, nature-themed art, urban art, ceramics, and more.
Every year, as a culmination of our work, Nature Consortium hosts the Arts in Nature Festival in West Seattle to celebrate the outdoors and showcase local artists and performers. The festival encompasses music, dance, theatre, fire performances, wandering performers, a museum of sound and hands-on art & naturalist activities.
