Furry Friends is looking for volunteer grant writers.

Furry Friends is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, no kill, all volunteer, cat rescue organization in Vancouver, WA. We are dependent on donations, sponsorships and grants to care for the cats that we rescue. If you have experience with writing, we would like to talk to you.

This is a volunteer position and previous grant writing experience is not needed, we will show you what to do. The person for this position does need to be able to write well, follow protocols and be able to research. Grant writers may work on several projects at once.

Nonprofit Grant Writer Job Duties: Nonprofit grant writers prepare grant proposals, beginning by performing research. To develop their proposals, grant writers familiarize themselves with Furry Friends programs, goals and financial needs. They also look into potential funding sources. After compiling all the information they need, grant writers compose and send their proposals. Grant writers must also keep careful records to track their proposals. Outstanding grammar and research skills are a plus.
