Explore the Wild Beauty of COLORADO as a volunteer host!

2023 positions are available across the state with Colorado Parks and Wildlife. Volunteer to host a state park, wildlife area, or hatchery for a free campsite and annual state park pass. This is not a paid position.

Responsibilities vary by location, but general duties include greeting campers, supporting entrance gates and visitor centers, and light bathroom and site maintenance. Some positions work with the public, and some don’t.

In return for your service, you will receive a free campsite for the duration of your stay, a free State Parks pass (after 48 hours of service), training opportunities, uniforms, and the ability to meet new people and make friends from across the country and world.

​When you volunteer with CPW, you can get outside, get some fresh air, and do something good for Colorado. ​Volunteers serve in a variety of roles including camp hos​ts, naturalists, wildlife transporters, trail workers, assisting CPW staff and much, much more. Opportunities are available statewide.
