Male Pt. vol.

Corrales/North Valley: Heartland Hospice is looking for people who have a little extra time and a lot of heart! We are made up of a dedicated team that focuses on enhancing the quality of life by providing comfort care as well as spiritual, social and emotional support to patients in the final phase of a terminal illness.

After excellent training, volunteers visit hospice patients in their homes about once a week, to listen, talk and comfort.

Our program stresses human values that go beyond the physical needs of the patient and we strive to ensure that our patients spend their final days in dignity and comfort. Volunteers provide a supportive role only, no hands-on care is required.

Heartland Hospice volunteers say that being involved with another person's hospice experience gives them a greater appreciation for life. Call Heartland Hospice's Volunteer Coordinator in Albuquerque (Jessica Potter) to learn more about the difference you can make: (505) 323.1464.
