We are planning our first Bar Choir(tm) event for early May 2020. This is a highly popular event in Australia where anybody who likes to sing becomes part of a choir that practices one song and then does a final video taped performance.
To make it challenging and more fun, as opposed to a group Karaoke, the attendees are grouped according to their singing preferences as a choir would be. So this does require an ability to arrange the song.
The expected choir size is 125 and they are there to have fun and a good singing voice is not a requirement. However, the event is more attractive to people who like to sing so there's probably going to be a measure of self selection.
The conductor's role is to bring the rehearsal and final performance together in a fun way. So you need the personality to do this. Theater experience or interest would help. The music will be provided by guitar maybe aided by other instruments. The event song at this time looks like being Africa by Toto.

Description
We work in close partnership with The David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation (DSWF) in the UK to support wildlife conservation projects in Africa and Asia. We also support outreach to the USA for Game Rangers international in Zambia.
Through DSWF we have a history of using Wildlife Art as a medium for bringing awareness and for fundraising.
Most of our current activity is focused on supporting the efforts of these organizations with their US outreach. But want to work more on building the Endangered Species Fund as a conservation organization in the US based on the belief that everything is connected to everything.

- Most of our meetings are online to save travel. In this way we'll plan rehearsals and other time requirements as we go along.
- We expect or first Bar Choir™ to be a great success and fully expect to duplicate the event in the future.
