UConn Natural Resources Conservation Academy
The Conservation Training Partnerships is a free program for both high school students (grades 9 to 12) and adult volunteers who are interested in exploring tools and tech to connect with the outdoors.
This program includes a 2-day hybrid workshop that introduces participants to innovative, user-friendly online mapping technology that can be applied to learn about and address local environmental issues. At the workshop, teen and adult teams brainstorm environmental actions that they can then carry out in their own community.
Day 1 (July 31) will be in-person at the Keney Park in Hartford
Day 2 (August 1) will be online

Providing transformative natural resource science & conservation opportunities for Connecticut's teens and adults
The Natural Resources Conservation Academy (NRCA) is an innovative program in conservation and land use planning that engages Connecticut high school students, adult volunteers and teachers with conservation efforts at the community level. NRCA’s three interconnected efforts benefit students and adults by conducting education on natural resource management and geospatial technology, and facilitating the use of these new skills in the implementation of local conservation projects that benefit the community.
