We are looking for a videographer to capture footage for a promo video for the SNACC after-school program:
SNACC (Sustainable Nutrition and Community Connection) is an after-school cooking initiative providing nutritional education programming for disadvantaged youth in 4 th and 5 th grade. The SNACC program is held at a Title 1 School on the Lower East Side called The Anna Silver School (PS20).
Each week we will be hosting a special guest chef to teach the students how to prepare a healthy meal and to create opportunities for students to learn the personal stories of our guest chefs. The students will cook two portions of food. One portion will be eaten during the SNACC session and the second portion will be placed into to-go containers to address the immediate negative consequences associated with food insecurity.
This program aims to help youth who are living below the poverty line develop skills to make healthful choices, form relationships with positive role models, increase self-efficacy, and have secure outlets in a productive space.
SNACC runs every other Monday from 3:00-5:15pm.
Upcoming Session Dates are as follows:
- March 9th
- March 23rd
- April 6th
- April 20th
- May 4th

Description
SNACC is a volunteer-driven program that responds to the consequences and risks associated with financial hardship by providing accessible nutritional programming to youth in NYC. Our programming uses education and relationship-building to promote healthy living and community connection.
SNACC by Faces in Between is a hands-on food education program that addresses food insecurity by focusing on cooking skills, wellness, and community connections for youth. Our students live in the South Bronx, one of the most underserved and hardest-hit communities by COVID-19 in the United States. Each week, our students participate in a weekly virtual cooking session. Students get the weekly ingredients sent directly to their homes and have the opportunity to prepare four portions of nutritious food to enjoy with their families!
