Food Cycle LA is partnered with Food Forward and The Center to provide healthy produce to areas of Los Angeles that need it most. We need 4 volunteers to alternate Sunday schedules and recover and sort produce and other foods from vendors at the Studio City Farmers Market.
Volunteers can opt to recover food from the farmers market or sort produce at The Center following the food run. This is an ongoing event happening every Sunday.
Food Recovery will begin around 2pm. The volunteer will glean produce from various vendors and drop the donations at The Center at Blessed Sacrament located at 6636 Selma Ave. Los Angeles, CA 90028 (Hollywood)
We are also looking for a volunteer to sort donations on Sunday afternoons/early evening at The Center. You can contact Krys, Volunteer Manager, for more information krys@thecenterinhollywood.org
The Studio City Farmers Market is located on Ventura Place between Laurel Canyon Blvd. and Radford Ave.
Parking is available at the CBS parking structure located past the main gate on Radford Avenue and in the Chase Bank parking lot.

Description
FoodCycle is seeking passionate and dedicated volunteers to help further our mission in fighting hunger and ending food waste. We need volunteers on an ongoing basis to recover food from various restaurants, grocery stores, and food markets around Los Angeles. In addition to Food Recovery Drivers, we are looking for assistance building up our social media presence across all platforms.

- Food Recovery Volunteers will dedicate 1-2 hours picking up/dropping off farmers market donations. Donation Sorters will dedicate at least 2 hours sorting through produce.
