Currently seeking Volunteer Board Members to bring their energy and HEART to our Golden Hill Charity!
We are a grassroots organization in the process of networking with other non profits to bring mindfulness and internal martial arts practices to children and their families who may not have access to it due to socioeconomic and geographic limitations.
TREASURER NEEDED: Finance background preferred. Basic monthly financial reporting to the board & 990-N filing/Charitable Solicitation License exemption renewals.
SECRETARY NEEDED: Minutes maintained from meetings.

Mission Statement
Our mission is to provide Pangu Qigong, Yoga, Tai Chi and Meditation to children and their families who may not have access otherwise due to socioeconomic and geographic limitations.
Description
There is a grassy, sunlit hill on our founder Cristen Bopp's family property. This hill was a place of many fond memories created throughout her young life: a place of safety, peace, and imaginative playfulness where she could regroup and find strength. Wouldn't it be nice if we all had a place like that? She realized in her adult life that she could return to that Golden Hill any time she liked, through mindfulness practices like Pangu Qigong, Yoga, Tai Chi and Meditation. Our vision is a world where everyone discovers their own Golden Hill, and returns there often for peace and strength.
CURRENTLY WE SEEK VOLUNTEER BOARD MEMBERS with an interest in the further development of this vision and the desire to continue to build on the foundation we've started. We currently host evening meditation sessions at Interact's Domestic Violence Shelter during the week, host a Yoga Class at the Girl's club every Monday evening, and have a quarterly community mindfulness practice at Pullen Memorial's Poteat Chapel.
