Come Out and Play With Us at The Cherry Creek Sneak!
As a public health precaution in relation to COVID-19, the 39th Annual Cherry Creek Sneak will be postponed until further notice.
Cherry Creek Sneak has a straightforward principle that guides us: Safety first! Athletes, volunteers, spectators, exhibitors, and our entire community - safety is the constant in every aspect of our planning and race logistics.
In short, we love you! We want to continue to do our part to protect all Coloradans, especially you, fellow volunteers.
We are going to wait until we can throw a party Sneak style. The new date in September will feature all the Sneak traditions you love: a long-sleeved race shirt, timed and scored distances, and of course, free beer in our after-party.
With over 10,000 participants annually, the Cherry Creek Sneak could not exist without literally hundreds of volunteers. When you volunteer for the Sneak, you get a chance to serve the community and have a crazy time while doing it!
GET INVOLVED
The event offers a 5k, 5 mile, 10 mile and a Kids Fun Run. Volunteer positions include registration, start and finish line, three water stations, course Marshalls, beer pourers (beer garden) food expo, and more. The event is fun, the shifts are short, all volunteers receive a 2020 Cherry Creek Sneak volunteer t-shirt and have a crazy good time!
BENEFICIARY
The Sneak benefits the We Don't Waste, a local nonprofit dedicated to providing nutritious food fed people, not landfills. We Don't Waste reduces food insecurity and waste by rescuing food from venues, caterers, distributors, and restaurants, then delivering it free of charge to hunger-fighting local agencies in the Denver Metro area. We Don’t Waste is a fast-growing and high-impact nonprofit organization that addresses hunger and food waste through an innovative recovery model.the treatment and prevention of child abuse and neglect.
We Don’t Waste needs your support to further reduce hunger and food waste in our community. Your participation in the Cherry Creek Sneak enables We Don’t Waste to provide more nutritious food to our neighbors in need - expanding their reach and reducing the amount of good food going to the landfill!

Founded in 1993, Downing Events is a premiere event management company in Colorado. Our reputation for conducting events of the highest standard has been recognized by clients nationwide who seek safe, well planned, managed and executed events. We have successfully managed events ranging in size from a few hundred to over a hundred thousand.
Downing Events has managed hundreds of athletic events including, The Cherry Creek Sneak, Home Run for the Homeless and Tri for the Cure - A Women’s triathlon, which has raised over $800,000 since 2004.
