Help us to promote a greener, cleaner NC!
NC GreenPower is a nonprofit improving our state’s environment by supporting renewable energy, carbon offset projects and providing grants for solar installations at K-12 schools.
We will be attending the Durham Earth Day Festival and will need help staffing an outreach table where event attendees can ask questions and learn more about NC GreenPower.
Your responsibilities would include engaging people who stop by the outreach table, tell them about our program, assist with STEM activities, give out NC GreenPower swag etc. If they have specific questions that you don’t feel comfortable answering please give them one of our business cards and/or refer them to our website.
We will provide you with a short training session about our program that you can do from home once you sign up.

Description
Headquartered in Raleigh, North Carolina, NC GreenPower is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose mission is to improve the quality of the environment in North Carolina through a statewide program that connects consumers with green energy and carbon offset providers. We also provide grants for solar installations at K-12 schools. Contributions are given by individuals and businesses either directly to us, or through their utility.
The NC GreenPower Speakers Bureau was created to help carry the message of our mission to all corners of North Carolina. The Speakers Bureau also strives to increase participation in the NC GreenPower program, providing economic, environmental, and health benefits to all citizens of North Carolina.
Training sessions are periodically held for new volunteers. These sessions include tips about presenting, speaking points regarding the program, and instructions for using the speaker toolkit, provided at no cost.
