Balsam Mountain Trust will be hosting its 7th annual World Migratory Bird Day Festival (Bird Fest) celebrating migratory birds and their conservation on May 7, 2023 from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm at Bridge Park in Sylva, NC. The free community festival will include a service project, games, crafts, activities, displays, and demonstrations related to migratory birds and this year’s theme "Water."
We are seeking interested volunteers for the following tasks:
· Festival set-up
· Checking in exhibitors
· Greeters
· Activity/Craft station
· Balsam Mountain Trust/WMBD info station
· Conservation Commerce station
· Photographers

Description
The Trust team works at the Nature Center on Balsam Mountain Preserve, where we house a collection of animal ambassadors that we use for environmental education. Our volunteers are an invaluable asset who provide excellent animal care and share our passion for the natural world with the community.

REQUIREMENTS
- The volunteer shift would be from 8:30A to 3:30 or 4P (depending on tear down). There will be a break for lunch.
