United Way recruits volunteers for non-profit organizations in Martin County, matching volunteer interests and skills to create a meaningful, rewarding volunteer experience.
The mission of the organization where this opportunity is located is "Feeding the Hungry - Helping the Homeless."
Volunteers are needed at this organization in Stuart to provide transportation for clients from this agency to/from doctor appointments, court dates, probation check-ins, bus station, social security office, etc. Come spend a 2-hour time slot on weekdays. Must be dependable, prompt, have a valid driver's license, auto insurance and active cell phone. Possibly lift a backpack or walker into the vehicle, or assist with walking. Clients are screened prior to anyone driving them.
