At Abramson Senior Care Hospice, our volunteers offer support, companionship and compassionate help to the patient and family. As a volunteer, you can interact directly with patients and families or if you prefer, you can work behind the scenes in the office setting.
The tasks of volunteers may include:
- Helping with office support tasks in our North Wales office
- Staying with patients so family members can take a break
- Reading, or Playing or singing soothing music to patients
- Providing a comforting touch or holding a hand
- Keeping vigil with patients in their final hours of life
- Providing a friendly visit to help make someone’s day a little brighter
- Providing veteran volunteer support to patients who are veterans and working with the We Honor Veterans program to make sure all veterans are given the proper care and acknowledgement at the end of life.
We have patients in their homes and in facilities located in Montgomery county that would like a volunteer

Description
Abramson Senior Care began providing hospice services to patients in 2008. Initially hospice services were only offered at the center located in North Wales PA. In 2012 Hospice services were expanded to patients within the five counties: Montgomery, Bucks, Philadelphia, Delaware and Chester.
Hospice provides support and care for persons in the last phases of an incurable disease so a person can live as fully and as comfortably as possible.
Hospice affirms life and neither hastens nor postpones death.
We provide state of the art care and supportive services to individuals (and their families) at the end of their lives 24 hours a day, 7 days a week , in both the homes and facility based care settings.
Physical, spiritual, social and emotional support are provided by a clinically directed team which includes volunteers.
