Help provide students in our region with food for the weekend through our Backpack Pals volunteer opportunity. Every Thursday, volunteers can come to the food bank to pack goodies including canned proteins, snacks, and fresh apples for children in need. Please join us in our efforts to ensure our children have food over the weekend when they do not have access to their free or low-cost meals provided at school.
* Volunteers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or chaperone.

Description
The Sandhills Branch of the Food Bank serves 4 counties : Lee, Moore, Richmond, and Scotland. In our region we have over 37,000 people experiencing hunger and of that over 12,000 are children. With the help of volunteers we have distributed over 4.5 million meals in 2019. We need the community's help to continue providing food resources to our counties.
