Greetings Friends and Supporters:
The California Council of the Blind is holding our annual Conference & Convention and we are seeking 150 volunteers to assist us in making this 4 day event a huge success. The dates and location for the convention is as follows:
When: June 3 - 7, 2020
Location: Double Tree by HiltonFresnoConvention Center
2233 Ventura St. Fresno, CA 93721
Our Convention line-up includes: topic driven breakfast and lunch meetings, general business sessions, an exhibit hall, breakout sessions, a Banquet dinner, and more.
The CCB is in need of 150 volunteers to support this event. Volunteer duties may include, but are not limited to: registration, sighted guide assistance for CCB members, support to guide dog handlers and their pups, microphone runners and many others.
Individual Volunteers and GroupsVolunteer groups are VERY welcome! Individuals, teams, civic and church organizations are also strongly encouraged to participate. Youth under the age of 18 are welcome to volunteer with parent or guardian permission. Youth group coordinators need to be the point of contact. Community service hours will be signed off as appropriate.
Guide Dog Support
If you love dogs and want to see guide dogs in action, please indicate you are interested in the guide dog support tasks.

Volunteer Shifts and Training
Our CCB Convention has many opportunities for volunteer service. We will do our best to match your requests with our needs. A minimum commitment of 3 hours per shift is preferred. All volunteers will be given training and assignment duties upon check-in at the Volunteer Desk.
