TX HHH has joined with WE HONOR VETERANS, a program of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization, to empower hospice volunteers to meet the needs of terminally ill veterans. Our goal is to pair Veteran volunteers with hospice patients who have been identified as Veterans to share life experiences, take part in pinning ceremonies and or distribute certificates.
We will provide orientation to teach you everything you need to know and will place you with a patient close to your location.

Volunteers are an integral part of the AccentCare (formerly Texas Home Health Hospice) team, providing compassion and care when it is needed most. As the heart and hands of the hospice team, they provide a special kind of caring to patients, families, and staff through helping to make the hospice experience manageable and rewarding.
Men, women, and young people of all ages and backgrounds can volunteer in a variety of roles.
Volunteer as:
- Patient/Family Care Volunteer
- Office/Administrative Volunteer
- Pet Therapy Volunteer
- Bereavement Volunteer
- Veteran Volunteer
- Reiki Volunteer
- Music Therapy Volunteer
ALL POTENTIAL VOLUNTEERS MUST SUBMIT AN APPLICATION. *** ALL POTENTIAL VOLUNTEERS MUST UNDERGO A BACKGROUND CHECK, TAKE A TB TEST, DRUG TESTING AND ORIENTATION/TRAINING PRIOR TO START***
