San Francisco Homelessness Datathon - March 10th

ShelterTech would like to invite you to join our Datathon volunteering event, where you will work side-by-side with our community representatives - people who are currently or have previously been homeless - to vet information and verify that the 1000+ services directed for low income and homeless community in our database (askdarcel.org) is correct. Think of AskDarcel almost as the application 'Yelp!’ for the homeless community, where case managers, city employees and people experiencing homelessness can find hundreds of housing, health, job, education, and other human services nearby and learn how to access then. As a volunteer, you will play a role in updating information available on these resources! We are 87% percent to completion, so come help out!

When: Tuesday, March 10rd, 6-8pm
Where: WeWork Montgomery, 44 Montgomery St, San Francisco, CA (17th Floor, Room 3F)

This is a great opportunity for those who are simply looking to meet with new like-minded people or to learn more about the struggles faced by the homeless community. Many of our returning volunteers also mentioned that they are grateful that they can use their skills to help the community directly! On the other hand, many of our community representatives have also expressed how inspiring this event is as they get to meet and to collaborate with many passionate volunteers in combating homelessness!
