YALLWEST is an annual young adult and middle grade book festival, with tons of authors and presenters in attendance, including New York Times Bestsellers, local writers, and more. The festival is a fun-filled day of panels, books signings, food trucks, killer photo ops & geeky shenanigans.
Volunteers are essential for making sure the festival runs smoothly -- helping with panels, signings, and special events, as well as with festival set up and breakdown. We would love for you, your friends, and family to come help out, and enjoy the festivities!!

Mission Statement
YALLWEST and its sister festival YALLFEST (based in Charleston, S.C.) are the biggest teen and middle grade book festivals in the country. In its inaugural year, YALLWEST drew over 8,000 attendees and donated thousands of dollars in book sale proceeds to school libraries in the Santa Monica Malibu School District, as well as hundreds of books to students in the Los Angeles Unified School District. Dedicated to school outreach, we bring in over 800 students from Title 1 schools with our program: Books, Buses, and Burgers. This program is free and gives students transportation to the festival, a free book of their choosing, and lunch for the day.
Description
Our festival connects readers with authors and this year we are brining in over bestselling authors as well as comic book writers, TV and Film makers, and Youtubers to be part of the weekend.
